Well, there you have it a way to pin a picture from Facebook without having to save as to my desktop then uploading it. What a time saving tip, thanks Mama Red!
Yeah, glad it saved you some time Carla!
It seems silly when it is that easy that FB won’t let you just use your Pinterest toolbar button!
I hear ya Aimee!
Great alternative for those who don’t use the Chrome plugin. Thanks for sharing.
You’re most welcome…there are pros and cons to everything, eh?
Learned something new! New many different way to pin from facebook to Pinterest, but not this one! Thanks… :)
There are so many ways to get stuff done aren’t there Norma!
Well that was too simple. I’m getting more and more into Pinterest (love the referral traffic my website is seeing from my pins!) and will utilize this tip. Thanks, MamaRed.
Hey there Rob…doncha love it when things are that simple. Yeah! You’re the perfect biz for Pinterest!
Hi, I’ve tried it out. But the pinned image appears broken on my pinterest page. I am trying to pin pics from my facebook to my pinterest business page. TIA
Hi there….It had been a while since I followed these steps, so I gave them a try. I wanted to double-check one thing before I looked at the steps again. I followed them and the image displayed … I do have a Business Account, and wanted to see if you mean something different by “Pinterest Business Page.” Let me know, ‘k?
This pins it to a really ugly URL though and doesn’t take you to the post that contains the picture. Any way around that?
No sense in pinning something if it brings the user to nowhere land
That’s true Heather and what’s the goal … are you wanting people to be able to return to the actual Facebook post or somewhere else? When this was originally written, the person asking the question wanted to get an image from FB to Pinterest (haven’t recently researched it to see if it has changed!). One way around it would be to edit the pin wants it has been added to the board. Have you given that a go? Let me know! MamaRed
I totally understand what you’re saying and if you are the copyright holder (or know who is) you could edit the pin and add the URL that way! Although there are lots and lots of pins going nowhere, I’m with you, it’s not the best use of the platform or your time! Have a fantabulous day and if there is any more I can do to lend a hand, please let me know. ~MamaRed
